DINNER MONEY

Dinner Money must be brought into School on the first day of the week in an envelope, clearly marked with your child’s name and class, or online following instructions below. If your child is absent it should be brought for the remainder of the week on the first day back.  It is quite acceptable for a cheque per family to be sent into school for payment of school lunches, clearly detailing how it should be allocated.  Please make all cheques payable to ‘Surrey County Council’ with your cheque card number on the reverse.  Payment for school lunches may be made up to one half term in advance (please contact the School Office for the required amount).  When paying on this basis, any refunds will be made in cash on the first day of the following half term.  Any queries should be raised with the School Office, for the attention of Mrs. Sally Sherfield.

Children will be asked to choose their lunches for the week and will select a coloured band to wear on a daily basis to show that choice.  The band will be handed in on a daily basis when they collect their lunch.


If you wish to pay online you may access the payment site in the following ways: www.surreycc.gov.uk/schoolmeals or www.surreycc.gov.uk, click on ‘Do it online’, and the ‘Online School Meal Payments.’


On the payment screen:

  • Enter the school code ECDE3907 into the school code field or enter the school name selected from the drop down list.
  • Please note we are known as The Chandler.
  • Please enter your child’s details next—child’s name, class and amount.  Please enter the amount you are paying in the format of number, decimal point, number, with a £ sign (for example, £10.00).  If you wish to make a comment about your payment please enter it in the Feedback/comments box.  This text will also go to the School.
  • When you have checked that the details are correct, please proceed to the payment card validation and follow the onscreen instructions.  When payment is made you will receive an email confirmation from both World Pay and Surrey County Council.  The School will also receive confirmation of the transaction when the payment is complete.
  • With effect from 1st September 2010 the daily cost for a school dinner is £2.00 per child.
