LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT (LSA)

We are looking for an enthusiastic, pro-active Learning Support Assistant (LSA) with a good sense of humour and a “hands-on” approach to join our lively staff team as soon as possible.

You will provide one-to-one support to individual children across the curriculum; support small groups of pupils; and work with children and teachers in a Classroom environment.  LSAs may also be required to undertake MidDay Supervisor (MDS) duties during the pupils’ lunchtime break.  Training and support will be provided as required.

The successful candidates will work under the direction of the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) and Classteacher.  Further details are provided in the attached Job Description.

We are ideally looking for one LSA to work five full days a week, term time only.  However, applications are also invited from candidates who are able to offer a different work pattern.

LSA roles are paid on Surrey SP4 pay range (£18,698 – £20,653 per annum, Full Time Equivalent).  MDSs are paid on Surrey SP1/2 (£16,894 per annum, Full Time Equivalent).

Indicative pay for five full days a week is £12,000 per annum.  Actual pay will be dependent on individual timetabled hours, and the skills and experience of the successful candidate.

You will be confident in Maths and English (Grade “C” GCSE or equivalent required in both), be patient and flexible, a good team player and have empathy and openness with children.

Tours of the School will be scheduled for shortlisted candidates only.
