Summer Fair

We have had a wonderful Summer Fair at The Chandler. A really big thank you to all of you who helped by running stalls and to all of you who attended and spent your hard earned money!

We should know how much we raised by next week so please keep checking back to this page.

We have also received a number of request for the recipe to the curry that was sold at the fair. Please click the link below

Who we are and what we do:

We are a friendly group of parents who get together once every couple of months to think of ways to raise money for the school to buy much-needed equipment for the children. Meetings are informal and fun (and usually involve a glass of wine or two!).

It's very sociable – a great way of getting to know other parents and the staff in school and a chance to provide input on how we can raise money in different ways and how those funds might be spent. The events which we hold are always fun and it makes it all the more worthwhile when you see the children having such a good time.

You don’t have to be a great organiser – we all have different skills and offer what help we can, whatever our strengths. It might be help with organising an event, but it might be help with running stalls, with preparing posters, helping running events in school like the Easter egg rolling, or refreshments at the school play or sports day. We are grateful for any contribution (and your children just love seeing mum/dad helping in school!).

We’d LOVE to have you on board!

A few of the Friends will be leaving in July as their children move on to Rodborough School. Whilst they leave a very capable group of parents in charge, it would be fantastic if more parents could come on board, helping to organise events and funding for the children.

If you could spare a LITTLE of your time to help make a HUGE difference, please drop your name and telephone number into the school office, marked for the attention of Claire Lillywhite. Maybe join us for one of our get togethers and see what we get up to, we make all comers very welcome! THANK YOU!

If you’d like to grab one of us for a chat, the Friends at the moment are:
