In the interests of safeguarding Chandler children, it is School Policy that all staff and volunteers undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check and a Children’s Barred List check (Policy WS-08: DBS Checks). The results of these checks must have been received before volunteers can help on school trips, drive children to/from events, or help with reading and other school activities.
To apply for an Enhanced DBS check:
- See Applicants Guidance – Online DBS – Jan 2018, which provides guidance on the use of the on-line system, including the School’s Unique Reference and Applicant Password (case sensitive).
- Please complete an on-line application – https://disclosure.capitarvs.co.uk/babcocksupportservices/. If you are a Volunteer (thank you!) please complete the Role as VOLUNTEER SCHOOL HELPER.
- Please come into School with THREE documents to confirm your ID. Suitable forms of ID are set out in the Applicants’ Guidance (pages 5-7).
If you have signed up to the Update Service, please bring your original certificate (this must be an Enhanced Check/Child Workforce) into school together with three forms of ID. You will need to sign a Consent Form for Status Check, which will be provided by Sarah Lambert, Bursar.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Sarah Lambert, Bursar through the school office.
