The Friends
Who we are and what we do
We are a friendly group of parents who get together once every couple of months to think of ways to raise money for the school to buy much-needed equipment for the children. Meetings are informal and fun (and usually involve a glass of wine or two!).
It's very sociable – a great way of getting to know other parents and the staff in school and a chance to provide input on how we can raise money in different ways and how those funds might be spent. The events which we hold (see below) are always fun and it makes it all the more worthwhile when you see the children having such a good time.
You don’t have to be a great organiser – we all have different skills and offer what help we can, whatever our strengths. It might be help with organising an event, but it might be help with running stalls, with preparing posters, helping running events in school like the Easter egg rolling, or refreshments at the school play or sports day. We are grateful for any contribution (and your children just love seeing mum/dad helping in school!).
We’d LOVE to have you on board!

The Farmers Choice Fruit and Veg Scheme:
The scheme offers freshly harvested organic fruit and veg, at very good prices. For more information, ask Teresa Coveney, who delivers the boxes to School each Friday at 3-3.30pm for you to collect. Run by the award winning ‘green’ company Abel & Cole, 25% of funds raised go to the school! Click here for more details about the scheme and how to give it a try.
